What is Fractora?
Fractora is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that uses pulses of radio-frequency to tighten and resurface the skin. These pulses are administered to the skin’s surface, which are channelled deep down into the dermis using fine micro-needles. This helps access the deeper structures of the soft tissue for a more thorough and comprehensive firming effect.
Good for?
The treatment can give outstanding results on the following skin concerns:
- Improvements on all aspects of skin ageing
- Reduces fine and deeper facial lines
- Lifts facial contours and sagging skin
- Reduces thread veins and sunspots
- Reduces all types of scarring
- Visibly improves skin texture and luminosity
- Firms and tightens open pores
On young skin: Fractora treatment is very effective on acne and acne scarring on face, neck, décolleté and back.
On older skin: Results includes tighter, firmer and more youthful-looking skin, visible improvements of facial lines and wrinkles.
Problem skin: Fractora improves melasma, sunspots and skin discolouration and thread veins can disappear.
What happens during treatment?
A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied around 45 minutes beforehand so that you are comfortable throughout. The skin is gently heated by placing a small probe device against the surface of the skin. Radio-frequency energy is passed through a series of very small bipolar pins which as well as heating the skin, causes tiny pin-prick holes that the body naturally repairs over the following weeks/months.
What to expect from the healing process from a Fractora treatment:
- Days 1-3: Skin swelling, skin redness, some dotted scabbing, some skin soreness, possible bruising.
- Days 3-5: - Similar to days 1-3 much improved – Cover up make-up and foundation can be worn.
- Day 6-8: Expect skin to continue to heal to almost perfect condition.
