What is Sculptra® Collagen-Stimulating Injectable?

Sculptra® is an injectable treatment containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which stimulates the body’s natural collagen production.

Unlike conventional dermal fillers, results develop gradually rather than providing immediate gel-like volume. Treatment can improve facial volume, firmness and structure while maintaining a natural-looking appearance.

Sculptra® is not suitable for every facial area and is not normally used for lip enhancement or individual line filling.

What happens during treatment?

Following consultation and facial assessment, Sculptra® is injected into selected areas using a needle or cannula.

You may feel brief pinching, pressure or stinging. The treated area may be massaged, and personalised aftercare instructions will be provided.

Any immediate fullness is mainly caused by fluid and temporary swelling. Collagen-stimulating results develop gradually.

Additional information

Pain level	Mild pinching, pressure or stinging may be experienced. Comfort measures can be used where appropriate.
Full recovery	Most clients can resume normal activities immediately. Swelling and tenderness usually settle within several days, while bruising may last longer.
Sensitivity period	Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising or firmness may occur following treatment.
Results driven	Improvements may begin to appear after approximately one month and continue developing over several months. Optimum results are usually seen after completing the recommended course. Results and longevity vary, and maintenance treatment may be advised.
